Early Life and Background

Choi Yeon-jun (최연준), professionally known as Yeonjun, was born on September 13, 1999, in Seongbuk District, Seoul, South Korea. He is an only child. During his childhood, Yeonjun lived in San Jose, California, for two years, which contributed to his fluency in English. He later attended Korean Arts High School, majoring in music, and is currently enrolled at Global Cyber University. 

Pre-Debut Journey

Yeonjun began his journey in the entertainment industry as a trainee at Cube Entertainment before joining Big Hit Entertainment (now Big Hit Music) in 2014. During his five-year training period, he was recognized as Big Hit's "legendary trainee," consistently ranking first in monthly evaluations for dance, vocals, and rap. He also appeared as a backup dancer at the 2014 Melon Music Awards.

Debut with TOMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT)

On January 10, 2019, Yeonjun was introduced as the first member of Big Hit's new boy group, TOMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT). The group officially debuted on March 4, 2019, with their first mini-album, "The Dream Chapter: STAR," which topped the Gaon Album Chart and Billboard World Albums Chart. Yeonjun serves as the main rapper, main dancer, and sub-vocalist of the group.

Solo Endeavors and Collaborations

Yeonjun made his solo debut on September 19, 2024, with the digital single "Ggum," a hip-hop track co-written by Yeonjun himself. The song's choreography teaser was released on September 13, 2024, generating significant anticipation. Following the release, Yeonjun concluded his solo promotions with a performance on Mnet's "M Countdown" on September 26, 2024. 

In addition to his solo work, Yeonjun has collaborated with various artists.In October 2021, he featured on "Blockbuster" from ENHYPEN's album "Dimension: Dilemma."In February 2022, he collaborated with Salem Ilese and fellow TXT member Taehyun on the single "PS5."

Other Activities

Yeonjun expanded his presence in the entertainment industry by becoming a co-host of SBS's music program "Inkigayo" from April 2022 to April 2024. He also made a cameo appearance in the final episode of the JTBC drama "Live On," which aired on January 12, 2021.

In July 2022, he became an ambassador for the streetwear brand Privé Alliance and served as a guest creative director, launching a limited collection available from August to December 2022.
